PROOF

In the past couple of days, the lights have been going on at an increasing rate once again. (I love those seasons! :-)  ) A young couple came by with their new born a couple of days ago and we were struck with how pixilated the father was and is with his little girl. Men not being as relational as women, something very special happens to them when they first encounter their own child.

That got me thinking once again about Paul’s statement in Philippians 2:20-22. This time the spot light was shining on the word “proof.”

If the King James Version is any indication, Paul didn’t start using that word until 2nd Corinthians, which is to say, after meeting and spending time with Timothy. I’m not sure he had fully comprehended its full significance yet in 2nd Corinthians, but by the time he got to writing to the Philippians, he seems to have finally comprehended the full proof!

It took him a while to get the proof or to find out what the proof was and is.

In short, on his first missionary trips out, he hadn’t so much as heard there be a “proof.”

On Saturday an older couple were here for the day. They both “Get It.”

In our conversation over the course of the day more light got poured on what I was seeing, like when the old guy saw the baby Jesus and said, “… now lettest thou thy servant depart in peace, according to thy word: For mine eyes have seen thy salvation, Which thou hast prepared before the face of all people; A light to lighten the Gentiles, and the glory of thy people Israel.”

Here’s a beautiful song that illustrates this truth: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rBZiPRPogn0

Elsewhere it is written: “For unto us a child is born…”

For us males proof comes when we hold a child in our arms. Up to then it’s all theories – all systems, all deals, all in the head with little or no meaningful or “proving” revelation in the heart.

In short then, as in our own day, Paul began his apostolic or “missionary” journeys with unproven content. By now what has been calling itself “church” even “cutting edge church” is still dead. “But in the fullness of time God sent forth His son born of a woman, born of the law…”

Until the full significance of that gets dropped into the lap of our experience, we don’t yet possess the proof. If we have no proof, leaving home apparently does more harm than good.

Are you with me so far?

On Saturday the older man shared with us how impacted he was the first time his baby was place in his arms, (more confirmation). A Little later he shared a song that almost had it right, the title lyric was “I need to be born again again,” and goes on to say the same thing about the experience of first love again. Where the song goes wrong is in suggesting that one more time will be sufficient to get it all and have it stick.

In my experience, that’s not how it works. This whole matter is a transaction of the cross, where our old ways, perceptions and values die, and His new way comes alive on the resurrection side of the revelation of the cross. Once is not enough. It takes death and resurrection all day long to live in the first love reality all day long. Every time we think we have it and can do it on our own, we need to be reminded, that Paul was “determined to know nothing among you except Jesus and Him crucified.

The Corinthians were not so easy to love, and Paul needed resurrected experiential proof all day long to love them with new love all day long. It took his relationship with Timothy to prove that for Paul. I think it takes no less than that for us. We need to hold a child who The Lord has given to us here and now. Many are in denial about such a possibility, and especially about such a possibility gender neutral. To that kind of orthodox error, those who have experienced the proof appear to be heretics.

Okay – enough for now, I hope to get into this matter of truth and heresy while I am undergoing chemotherapy a little later this morning. I need to further explore the Truth in connection with the parallels between orthodox medicine vs. alternative medicine, and orthodox “church” vs. alternative Church

The difference is in what Paul explained about Timothy” “… I have no one else like him, who will show genuine concern for your welfare. For everyone looks out for their own interests, not those of Jesus Christ.”

Agendas other than Jesus Christ, and his Lordship are destroying or misrepresenting true spiritual relationship. More about that in the next post. :-)

New Insight From System Research

On increasingly close examination and exposure to the conventional medicine system in America, it is hard to miss the parallels to what has been calling itself “church.”

For now I only have time to say:

When error reigns TRUTH is a heretic!

Love!

Integrity versus Corruption

Gold!

While the commentators on Fox News may not be very polite, (talking over one another and preferring to make the news more than to cover the news) it does remain, in my view a relief from what the rest of the news media are doing.

I mention this as preface to what I want to say here about gold, because gold peddlers seem to be the primary advertisers on Fox News. What strikes me at this point is that they never do get to the real point where gold is concerned.

Gold is monetary integrity. Fiat money, (money that is money by law rather than market choice) is corruption. It is a lie. At various times in our history, U.S. money promised to pay the bearer in gold – then it promised to pay the bearer in silver. Then it claimed to be legal tender, and perhaps the worst lie of all: it claims to “trust in God.”

This is a pack of lies, but the gold peddlers don’t seem to be willing to go that far in singing gold’s praises.

This is all about the historic, even Biblical battle between integrity and corruption. The Monetary “powers” and their apologists are clearly on the side of corruption. Sad to say the Bible is clear as to who wins in the short run – the liars.

2 Thessalonians 2:1-12:

“ Now we beseech you, brethren, touching the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, and our gathering together unto him; to the end that ye be not quickly shaken from your mind, nor yet be troubled, either by spirit, or by word, or by epistle as from us, as that the day of the Lord is just at hand; let no man beguile you in any wise: for it will not be, except the falling away come first, and the man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition, he that opposeth and exalteth himself against all that is called God or that is worshipped; so that he sitteth in the temple of God, setting himself forth as God. Remember ye not, that, when I was yet with you, I told you these things? And now ye know that which restraineth, to the end that he may be revealed in his own season. For the mystery of lawlessness doth already work: only there is one that restraineth now, until he be taken out of the way. And then shall be revealed the lawless one, whom the Lord Jesus shall slay with the breath of his mouth, and bring to nought by the manifestation of his coming; even he, whose coming is according to the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders, and with all deceit of unrighteousness for them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved.

And for this cause God sendeth them a working of error, that they should believe a lie: that they all might be judged who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.” American Standard Version (ASV)

The monetary version of the lie is identified as the number “666,” without which no one can buy or sell, Revelation 13:17-18.

Those bent on corruption don’t want you to have options. The liberty of options is contrary to their tyranny of lies.

As for no longer being able to buy and sell, that has to do with end of merchandising and merchants, (Canaanites), Zechariah:

“Every pot in Jerusalem and Judah will be holy to the LORD Almighty, and all who come to sacrifice will take some of the pots and cook in them. And on that day there will no longer be a Canaanite[c] in the house of the LORD Almighty.” Zechariah 14:21

That is the last verse of Zechariah in the NIV translation. Footnote [c]  is:

[c] Zechariah 14:21 Or merchant

In the long run Love wins – not just any love, but the Love of God redefined at and by the cross of Christ. The Love that goes beyond the love for friends all the way to a new kind of Love, which turns out to be good for enemies, Romans 5:10. This is the incorruptible medium of exchange for The Body of Christ, The Kingdom of God, even The Church. This is the ultimate integrity that never fails.

Love!
