At the beginning of this year I said I would be reposting Jay’s posts in order, that related to the ‘major theme’ of his life and ministry: namely spiritual relationships and God’s kind of love. But occasionally Jay would go down another path, of exploring the prophetic element of cancer.
They aren’t very many of these posts, so I decided to include some of the shorter ones into the weekly posts. It was something he was grappling with at the time, along with alternative treatments.
And I think where he was going with it, spiritually, is important to try and understand as well.

Mutated Cells – Part 1
As you may already know, I am presently in a war with stage IV colorectal cancer. The conventional prognosis is “incurable” with a rather short lived life expectancy.
On the afternoon of February 28th we got word that I have been approved for treatment at the Burzynski Clinic in Houston TX. Dr. Burzynski has been the target of the mainline cancer treatment establishment, including the FDA. They have tried repeatedly to put him out of business, so far without success. It seems that Dr Burzynski has been successful with cancers for which there is no hope, at least not by the standards of what has been calling itself “cancer treatment.”
Having said that, and having been approved for this new treatment. I am once again positioned to see something with a little greater clarity. Burzynski’s treatment, as we understand it, goes after cancer cells according to their genetic make up. It only prevents the wrong DNA – the mutated DNA of cancer cells from reproducing, and has no harmful side effects on healthy cells.
It occurs to me this is also what is needed for fighting the mutated life that has been calling itself “church.” I hope to learn more about how it works in short order, and perhaps come into some better understanding of how to address what is wrong with what continues to call itself “church.”

Loving Like God 
“gets to” s/b “escapes” in the 1st paragraph.
This brought to mind 1 Corinthians 5 and Paul’s instruction to put the perverse one(s) out from fellowship to preserve body health and integrity. Contrast with Jude who speaks of the end where apparently the invasion of perverse ones is so commonplace dealing with them is left to God. Like cancer – it’s advised to be on the watch for signs of it and to treat it in the early stages. Once it gets to the containment state, only a miraculous intervention can save the body.
An interesting thought – the command ‘come away and be ye separate’ takes on sober meaning when corruption of the church has become so widespread and mainstream. Revelation 3:20 and Revelation 18:4 territory – both a command to come out – where those who leave it effectively become voices of one crying in the wilderness.
Where Revelation 18 speaks of it in terms of harlotry – buying and selling that which is intended for sharing freely in intimacy and holiness of spiritual oneness – the notion of reforming the harlot or bringing revival into the harlot’s system is absurd – moreso even the hope of inviting Christ into her instead of His people coming out – it would be asking Christ to enter into the harlot. There really is just one call for those saints and prophets who are in her – and it is to come out of her for by the time her corruption reaches terminal velocity as in Revelation 18, there’s no cure – only destruction and calling out the surviving cells.
