Loving Like God 
Jay as usual said it very well.
Oiko made a great point as well about relationships being what it is all about.
The way I see it, relationship is the key to having genuine organic life with Jesus. If you know all about God and can spout all the right buzzwords and the current group mantras, you have a lifeless shell and an inorganic husk. It is a false facade. Religion without the life of Jesus is merely a brittle clone that is a powerless substitute for a genuine relationship with Jesus Christ.
Relationships are what it is all about, with God and one another.
A tiny bit of pathogenic bacteria in a glass of milk or a peanut butter sandwich and someone get sick or dies. Leadership mixed with a pathogen (sin nature) is also a recipe for disaster; but then let the one that is without sin cast the first stone. So what is a person to do? At every place and in every way reject elitism, isolationism, arrogance, and the like in self and others. Lean into Jesus, the one without sin and not into our own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths.
Only the man who has seen the end of himself would I trust as church leader. Everyone else speaks out of themselves.
What is called church is no different than a social club, just with different titles. Holy Spirit not needed to run western “churches”.
