An Introspective Look At Cancer

There are two word pictures, which have surfaced in these days of waiting between possible treatments:

The first has to do with “critical mass.” This is the concentration of radioactive material necessary for sustaining a nuclear reaction.

The second, the timing and circumstances of  “The Perfect Storm.”

While at the National Cancer Center this past week, there were times when it was difficult to tell if the doctors or nurses were angels, but in any case some were the comfort of The Lord to me.

My cancer had advanced to the place where the vibration of the car was very uncomfortable during the 8 hour drive going up there. Even lying down across the back seat, there was no comfort. Continue reading →
